Flood....again

This is our front yard during the period when we had lots of rain. Later that day (or on a different day...don't remember) all of the road was covered in water!

Goal failed

Okay, so, my goal failed...big time! I only got five pics on my blog before the time was up to get the 15 on. Though I have an excuse! I was sick with the flu for two weeks (yuck!). I hate the flu and I hope I never get it again!

This is one of our neighbor's dogs. His name is Toby and he stood in that pose until I took the picture!

Pretty sunset!

A picture of my shadow!

Look at this picture! It took me probably ten times to get it just right but I finally got a picture of a rock splashing into water! Pretty cool, huh?

I took this picture, along with tons of others, outside one day when a storm was about a half-hour away from us. I have lots of others that I'll eventually post!

Goal

I have decided to creat a goal for myself. The goal is to add at least 15 new pictures to my blog by Wednesday next week, which will be March 4. Hopefully this goal will work and I'll post whether it does or not. Wish me luck!

Check this out! Ever heard of a kids' cartoon on Nickalodeon called Danny Phantom? Well, know it's Joey Phantom! I took this picture and I'm not sure why it looks so dark 'cause it was daytime. I thought it was cool and it's here for you to see!

These buttercups were taken by the same sister of mine that did the Play-Doh art and the puddle picture. They were in the pasture where my grandma keeps her two Appaloosa horeses, Precious and Sierra.

This is our third kitty, Panda. She's sleeping in this picture but it was the only good one I could find of her. She's the mommy of Joey and the granddaughter of Fussy. When Panda was little she liked to find necklaces on the floor and run throughout the house with them! Since then she's definitely calmed down and now Joey's the wilder one!

Look at Joey! He looks like he's yelling at the string he's playing with! He LOVES string, can't you tell???
I took this picture a while ago, back in the summer of last year. I love taking pictures of clouds whenever I can!

Ooh! Look at this crawdad. Back in September (I think that's when it was) we had a lot of rain and that night one of my younger siblings found this guy outside. He looks like he's surrendering to the police, doesn't he?

Puddle picture!
This picture was taken by my little sister, the same one that did the Play-Doh art. Pretty cool, huh? Yeah, I know, it's dirty water. But what else do you expect from a driveway puddle?
One of my little sisters made this and told me to put it on my blog. She loves to sculpt things with Play-Doh and I thought this was perfect to have on my blog since Valentine's Day is soon!
Here's a recipe that I got from HillbillyHousewife

Magic Milkshake

1-1/2 to 2 cups ice water

1-1/2 cups nonfat dry milk powder

2/3 cup sugar

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 to 1-1/2 trays of ice cubes, as much as you can spare

2 tablespoons corn oil plus a 5-second squirt of non-stick spray for emulsification purposes

Place all of the ingredients into the blender, including the oil and the non-stick spray. Use less water for thicker milk shakes and more water for shakes that are easy on your blender motor. The blender should be about 3/4's full. Place the lid on. Process for a full 2 minutes. Pour into cups and serve. Makes 4 - 12oz servings.

For this recipe we put in just a 1/2 cup of sugar and a heaping 1/4 cup of cocoa to make it more chocolaty! We've also made it without the cocoa and put frozen bananas in it and  that was pretty good too! You don't have to put the oil and cooking spray in cause I always forget and it turns out just fine!

Fussy
Here is our oldest cat, Fussy. Fussy is 11 years old and will be 12 some time in May. She got her name because she meowed a LOT as a kitten and still does! Fussy may look grouchy in this picture but she's a very sweet, loveable cat!
                 Spot
This is MY dog, Spot. I got her for my 4th birthday and she's 10 years old. Spot is a very sweet dog and has almost always been good. She got her name because of the big spot on her back and the spot by her head. I'm pretty sure she's half Hound dog and half Cocker Spaniel. I love my Spottie!
Another one of our doggies, Skip. He got his name from the movie "My Dog, Skip". One of my little brothers named him! Skip is 6 years old and likes to jump up on us and put his paws around our hips! One of my sisters and me say he's giving us a hug! Isn't that sweet?
This is Appa last year in June. He has grown a lot but he's still VERY loveable! Sometimes I see him in the backyard playing with another dog of ours and they'd be both holding an end of a rope while walking!
This is our doggie, Appa! He's not little like this anymore, but he's lots of fun to play with! Appa's about 5 months in this picture and he is 14 months now and loves to play with balls!!!!

Joey

This is 1 out of 3 cats that my family has. Joey usually likes me the most because he likes to follow me around and sleep on my back and/or head at night...Which is nice unless its summer! Joey gets upset if I go into the bathroom or another room with the door shut and he'll sit outside the door and meow until I come out. He's 11 months old and will be 1 year on February 13th.
